Lavender Rose Soap

Thanks to my cousins Courtney and Clara these hand made beauty products are passionately made from scratch! I love reading their blogs on what all these beautiful herbs do to heal and improve our bodies! 

• Distilled Water ~
• Citric Acid ~ Is an alpha/beta hydroxy acid found naturally in citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. In skincare formulations, Citric Acid has protective antioxidant, and corrective antiaging effects helping to reverse visible signs of photodamage. Citric Acid works by exfoliating the upper layer of dead skin cells to help clean pores, even skin tone and soften and smooth the skin. The skincare benefits of Citric Acid include exfoliates to rid skin of dead cells, promoting exfoliation, helps to unclog pores, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, helps to even skin tone and to brighten, soften and smooth the skin. Citric Acid is ideal for all ages and skin types.
• Fractionated Coconut Oil ~ One of its primary benefits is that it is non-greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. Thus, it helps to soften and soothe the dry skin very effectively. It has a feather-light emollient effect that provides a protective barrier without clogging the pores and hence is excellent for dry or troubled skin.
• Avocado Oil ~ Works as a regenerating, rehydrating treatment for skin that soothes and enhances texture. It smooths the look of wrinkles, tightens skin, and diminishes the appearance of scars, age spots, and other unwanted blemishes. It can be used on dry, rough, aging, sensitive, or irritated skin such as skin afflicted with psoriasis. Avocado Carrier Oil straightens and softens strands while nourishing, hydrating, and strengthening them. By stimulating circulation to the hair follicles, it promotes new, healthier growth and prevents hair loss. Avocado Oil protects hair against damage caused by environmental stressors and helps purge clogged hair follicles. Avocado Carrier Oil exhibits anti-bacterial qualities. It balances metabolism and treats inflammation associated with arthritis. Its regenerative and healing properties are ideal for use on skin afflicted with rashes, eczema, dryness, and signs of aging, as it repairs the skin while enhancing its elasticity through moisture. The Vitamin E content of Avocado Carrier Oil is helpful for reducing the harmful effects of UV radiation and any redness or other damage it can cause.
• Lavender Essential Oil ~ The word lavender is derived from the Latin word Lavare which means to wash. This oil is a powerful antibacterial. Because of this, it is considered effective in treating various skin conditions like acne and psoriasis. Lavender inhibits the bacteria that cause skin infections. One of the best oils for under-eye circles. It is abundant with antioxidant features. When lavender is applied under the eyes regularly it relaxes the eyes and induces sleep. It also can help ease itchy and irritated skin. Lavender Essential Oil promotes relaxation and is commonly used to treat anxiety, fungal infections, allergies, depression, insomnia, eczema, nausea, and menstrual cramps.
• Rose Essential Oil ~ Is usually trumpeted for its aroma as well as its effect on emotions, with great reason. Rose oil can help combat trauma and depression; it uplifts the heart and opens pathways for people who suffer from anxiety. As for skincare, Rose Oil reigns supreme for maturing skin. It can absorb deep into the tissues and moisturize the skin wonderfully. You will find that dryness can be easily reduced, and skin will have a smooth complexion. ​Antioxidant. The antioxidants will work to promote cell turnover and stimulate the skin back into production. Anti-bacterial. Blemishes will easily be combated with its anti-bacterial properties, helping skin types that are prone to acne or rosacea. Moisturizing. As stated above, Rose oil is very powerful as a moisturizer; the molecular structure is very compatible with the skin tissue, soaking in, and hydrating very dry conditions.
